BreatheAir. Raising awareness for NZ's biggest cancer killer

Challenge

Lung cancer is our biggest cancer killer, claiming more Kiwi lives than breast, bowel and skin cancer combined. 

One of the problems is that it is often diagnosed far too late. Our challenge was to educate people on the signs, symptoms and risk factors of lung cancer, especially the most common one, a persistent cough.

Outcome

Human nature is such that people often ignore or deny their own symptoms, so we made sure to also target their loved ones, arming them with the knowledge to take persistent coughs seriously.    
The BreatheAir campaign incorporated a website, social media and digital advertising and was voted 'Best Lung Cancer Awareness Campaign' in the MSD global network and was awarded a Finalist at the New York Festivals Health Awards.
